Arm Nevada’s corporate giving leaders with the knowledge and insights needed to develop strategic philanthropy programs that address pressing issues in our State and drive positive impact in our communities.
ABOUT THE COUNCIL
Established in 2013, the Nevada Corporate Giving Council (NCGC) is a 501c6 organization comprised of corporate leaders focused on transforming our State through community engagement and corporate philanthropy. With diverse representation across all sectors, and chapters in Northern and Southern Nevada, the NCGC promotes best practices by convening council members quarterly and publishes an annual statistical report on the corporate giving landscape of Nevada. Its members hold a shared interest to utilize strategic corporate giving programs that benefit their employees, their company, local non-profits, and our community as a whole.
Corporate giving leaders can hone their individual company programs by leveraging the shared experiences of their peers, accessing the knowledge and insights of best-practice national CSR leaders, developing levers to effectively measure the impact of their programs and reviewing statewide data and statistics to accurately assess the needs of their communities.
Moonridge Group is responsible for scheduling and convening meetings, as well as the administration of the NCGC. Jeremy Aguero of Applied Analysis will spearhead the statistical reporting and analytical work of the Council.
The NCGC welcomes corporations that operate in Nevada and have charitable giving programs benefiting the state. NCGC activities are aligned with each member’s vision, value, culture and strategies and will adhere to the following guidelines:
Are public or private corporations with a commitment to the people of Nevada;
Have a corporate social responsibility agenda with a demonstrated corporate giving program;
Are willing to share their experiences and perspectives with other members;
Are willing to share the cost of producing an annual report as well as convening expenses;
Will meet quarterly to review and discuss experiences, insights, and knowledge, as well as review and evaluate missions, priorities, policies and practices;
Adhere to the highest standards of ethical behavior in all NCGC operations;
Seek to build and maintain public trust in the performance of their giving programs; and,
Recognize the diversity of the communities served and, within the parameters of individual charters and programmatic guidelines, make efforts to reflect that diversity through programs, operations and governance.
